[Bug?] Window becomes unresponsive when minimised

This is on Windows XP SP1.

If I perform a scan and then minimise the main window, this
window then becomes unresponsive and I cannot reactivate
this from the Task Bar to check on progress.

This is really annoying as it makes it impossible to run a
scan and keep the window out of sight until required.

I don't think this is necessarily a bug. You may find
that the process for AntiSpyware is grabbing all of your
processors' time or it may be using a large amount of
memory (I'll could look into that).

Also don't forget that a scan is going to produce a
massive amount of I/O so it sounds perfectly reasonable
that the application may become unresponsive during a
scan. It all depends on how much there is to scan and
whether your system is pretty clean or not (i.e. Total
amount of system memory, how large the registry is, how
many files need there are to scan, when was the PC last
rebuild, is it a budget processor i.e. Celeron, etc.)

Does the application become responsive after the scan has
completed? (I know you can't tell the progress during a
scan but if you leave it for 30-40 minutes, it should
have finished by then... hopefully).

The CPU on my machine is not being stressed when the scan
is taking place (barely uses about 10% CPU).

It simply looks like the application is simply not checking
for other events once the window has been minimised. This
is bad programming practice and the application should
occasionally check to see if any other events have occurred
that need to be handled. Normally there will be none and so
will not affect overall performance, but it will prevent
the appearance of a hung application.
