There must be some bug perhaps introduced by SP3 to Outlook 2003EN.
When I turn off in cell editing in any view, in any folder, e.g. Contacts,
and type e.g. File As having FileAs sorted - always in the past it jumped
directly to the matchin Contact.
S M I T H keys jump to "Smith, John"
This is very comfortable and for a log years used feature, in recent months
(perhaps after SP3, not sure) it behaves strange. It jumps to the respective
record +1 there must be some bug. I mean focus jumps to the next contact
behond matching one. The correct behaviour that I used for years was that
focus jumped to the matching record.
Please can someone confirm/deny this behaviour at your computer ?
