bug in opening 2 mdbs at once

so i have one mdb that is off in lalaland; doing it's thing.

and i double-click on another mdb application.. and it doesn't open.
so then i start up MSACCESS and go file open; and it allows me to open
multiple apps at a time.

why is it that isn't easier than this?

I mean-- with Excel, if you have one spreadsheet that is busy.. and you
go to open another spreadsheet-- it opens without a glitch right?

more importantly..

a) have a busy mdb app
b) want to open another mdb app but i cant via double-clicking-- since
it's jsut too busy--
c) start msaccess
d) drag a mdb file into the 2nd msaccess instance
e) it doesn't open

i finally tried putting a shortcut to msaccess.exe in my sendto dir;
and it helped a lot... so now i can always right-click a mdb and sendto
msaccess and it'll open

just seems like access should be easier than this
