Bug:"Check for update" - "at startup" doesn't seem to be taking effect

I do need this to be checked at startup because checking
at the specific time is useless if the system is powered
down. I have noticed, that selecting "at startup" won't
set the time drop-down to disabled state. I also don't
see any updating at actual startup so I suspect it
doesn't work. It may be a functional bug or just simple
cosmetics.
Secondly, grammer errors:

"it is highly recommended that the AutoUpdater is
enabled ..." should be "it is highly recommended that the
AutoUpdater be enabled ..."

Well, I AutoUpdate is enabled by default and yes, Grammatical and
typographical errors are a know issue. Which Windows OS are you running?

XP SP2 of course
besides the update, the scan itself requires scheduling
and this will not run regularly unless it is done at
startup, at least not when the home computer is only used
sporadecially.
