buffer underrun

I don't know if this would be an XP problem but it didn't start until
I upgraded from Home to Pro.

When I was running Home Edition and burnt CD's I never got a buffer
underrun notification. The buffer level would stay steady at 80%
throughout the entire burn.

Today I upgraded to XP Pro, installed the SP1 and all updates
available without any problem. When I went to burn a data CD the
buffer level was all over the place for the entire burn and at the end
of the burn Nero notifies me of 113 buffer underruns corrected.

I never had this with Home and am wondering if this can be cured
someway in my XP Pro settings somewhere.

For anyone interested I fixed the problem by using the knowledgebase.

It turns out that since I had to reinstall the SP1 when I upgraded to
XP Pro, SP1 removed DMA on my primary and secondary IDE's

I reinstalled the drivers for both IDE's and the problem is fixed.
