Buffer overrun

Just upgraded to WorksSuite 8 and we have a BIG problem. The huge database
with 9000 files and it is 4,680KB will not boot now. HELP...

Here is the message:

Buffer overrun detected

PROGRAM c:\program\Microsoft works\worksdsb.exe
A Buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the program's
internal state. The program cannot safely continue and must now be
terminated.

First id boot into the BIOS,set to boot to xp cd,install xp cd,exit BIOS,at
xp info screen select R recovery,press enter key for password,then type:
CHKDSK C: /R When its thru type:EXIT Let xp restart,remove cd.4680 kb
isnt that large,but go to administration in control-panel,event viewer,locate
the error/warning for the event,get specific info,click on the url,this opens
help/support in xp,usually with a fix or recomendation.If xp wont start,tap
the F8 key on start-up,enter in safe-mode,administrator.
