Buffer Overrun message?

L

Lucille

I'm getting the following message each time I start up my computer:

"Microsoft Visual+Runtime Library

Buffer Overrun detected. Program:C\Program
Files\MS_UPDATE\MS_Services.exe

A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the program's
internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution
and must now be terminated."

This started when automatic update showed up on my taskbar and wanted me to
load SP2. I did load SP2 from a disk and the update went ok but the message
still comes up when I boot up.

How can I get rid of this message?

Thanks for any help you can give.

Lucille, .. a folder called MS_UPDATE with an executable file called
MS_services.exe sounds a little suspicious to me. But i could be wrong.
Try and update all of your drivers, i know i had to. Wait and see as
someone will give you a better answer then me...
