Buffer Overflow Problem ,,Help Please

whenever i play certain .avi files in windows media player , McAfee's comes
up with a buffer overflow warning ,, the file will then play , but if i
decide to delete it after playing it , it won't allow me to ,,unless i
reboot the computer.

using another program does not give me this warning and i'm able to delete
the file right away.

anyone know what the problem could be??

by the way it's WM11

thanks

There are media player newsgroups which might be better location for this
question. Also have you checked with McAfee tech support since it's their
program that's generating this message?

microsoft.public.multimedia.windows.mediaplayer
microsoft.public.windowsmedia.player

personally I would NEVER use WMP.
I prefer VLC.
plays movies and music.

also there are some better news groups for posting this subject question.
