BSOD with alcxsens.sys

installed beta2 on my Gateway M505 laptop and on final reboot, the system
crashed to bsod pointing to irq_not_less_than_equal and pointing to
alcxsens.sys. I can boot the system into safe mode (and did to disable the
sound card) system will boot normal until I enable the sound card (realtek
ac'97). I have ran updates, I have let the system try and find a better
driver with no luck. I am currently downloading a vista beta driver from
realtek (here is the
link)http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/dlac97-2.aspx?lineid=5&famid=12&series=8&Software=True

Hi,

Did the beta drivers solve the problem for you? I have the same problem,
after an RC1 upgrade the computer reboots to the login screen, shortly after
I get BSOD that mentions alcxsens.sys and then reboots. I can boot in safe
mode though.

Many Thanks

Hi pdq,

I have the same problem, did the realtek beta drivers sort the problem out
for you? After an RC1 upgrade the computer boots up as far as the login
screen and then I get the BSOD mentioning alcxsens.sys. I can boot in safe
mode though.

Many Thanks.

Just for anyone with the same problem, the new realtek vista drivers solved
the problem.
