BSOD STOP 0xD1 DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL ipnat.sys

I have been getting this STOP message at random times:

STOP 0x000000D1 (0x00000004, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0xF1D683DB)
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Ipnat.sys

It doens't appear in Knowledge Base. Does anyone have an idea as to what the
problem might be?

Thanks a lot!

Hi,
Since no info about what you have been doing when this error occur we can't
really give you a precise answer.
Tell us what type of internet connection you have, anti-virus application,
do you have VPN access....
This error concern about a packet or something been blocked and generating
the error message.
Read this about the ipnat.sys which include the firewall :

Hi,

It looks like the error only occurs when iTunes 7.0.2 is running, but not
every time I run it.
I have the most recent McAfee Virus Scanner and a wireless DSL connection. I
don't know what else to tell you, I really don't know a lot about this stuff.
Don't understand half of that article you linked to nass :) Would disabling
my firewall help? I only use Windows' firewall...

Thanks again

No, don't disable your firewall or otherwise you will be naked on the Open
web and you know what that mean?.
Try to look in the event viewer for any error messages, also try to scan for
malwares before we say uninstall and reinstall Itunes or did you update it
recently?.
For malware tool go here:
http://www.safer-networking.org for Spybot S&D
HTH.
Let us know.

Nils posted to another newsgroup (perfomance_maintenance). I have
posted there and crossposted here. He needs to check the copy of
ipnat.sys on his system. It could be a crafty malware substitute or an
update post SP2 over looked.
