I Have read The Dumps ANd i Think "Zonealarm" Is The Coulprit

Zonealarm is Also know For Bugcheck C2

Uninstall ZoneAlarm

Hi Gerry,

Sorry about the links, I had read in another post that we should put the
dumps on a file hoster and link to them, so I thought that was the protocol.
My apologies if it iis not.

This was the first:

Error code 10000050, parameter1 fffffffe, parameter2 00000000, parameter3
fffffffe, parameter4 00000000.

This was the second:

Error code 000000c2, parameter1 00000007, parameter2 00000cd4, parameter3
02060001, parameter4 86c63ec0.

Thank you!

Hi Devil,

As for Zonealarm, I will look into replacing it, but cannot go without any
firewall, so it will have to do for now, it has never been the problem
before, and it wasn't updated, so I wonder what has changed about it. Any
suggestion for an alternate firewall that has both in and out bound
protection?

Thank you!

Hi Devil,

Ok, did some reading on the net and found an alternate Firewall that was
highly rated. So I uninstalled Zonealarm and installed Comodo.

Hopefully that will do the trick.

I will keep you posted.

Anyone else with any ideas please feel free to add to this thread.

Thanks.

The only person in recent times suggesting placing Dump files on a file
hoster is Devil. This is the first time I have seen him comment although
he has made his suggestion many times.

Has uninstalling Zone Alarm had any effect on the occurence of Stop
Error messages? You can rely on the Windows Firewall and do not have to
use a third party firewall. Remember security is a team effort and a
firewall is only one component. Removing Zone Alarm may not have been
the only way to proceed. You can still paste the text of the dump
reports into a further message here.

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
Requested data was not in memory. An invalid system memory address was
referenced. Defective memory (including main memory, L2 RAM cache, video
RAM) or incompatible software (including remote control and antivirus
software) might cause this Stop message, as may other hardware problems
(e.g., incorrect SCSI termination or a flawed PCI card).

Background information on Stop Error message 0xc2
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms796120.aspx

0x000000C2: BAD_POOL_CALLER
A kernel-mode process or driver incorrectly attempted to perform memory
operations. Typically, a faulty driver or buggy software causes this.

You have not posted the whole of the two Event Viewer reports covering
these two errors. A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event
Viewer and double click on the error you want to copy. In the window,
which appears is a button resembling two pages. Click the button and
close Event Viewer. Now start your message (email) and do a paste into
the body of the message. Make sure this is the first paste after exiting
from Event Viewer.

If uninstalling Zone Alarm has not resolved the problem I would start by
testing RAM memory:

How many memory sticks make up your total RAM memory?

Those are different Stop Error messages to the ones Mark has now posted.
We shall see if uninstalling Zone Alarm had any effect when Mark reports
back.

oops .. Wrong Links

Hi,

I just wanted to wait a little while before getting back to you on this
thread. Ever since I switched out the ZA for Comodo the system is once again
rock solid stable and not a crash in over 100 hours of use.

Devil Fish thanks for the call on the ZA. I have another batch of minidumps
from my parents machine that I would like to post in the near future for some
help on if possible for you to look at, would you if I did?

Thanks again everyone for your help with this.

:-)

Hi Devil Himself,

Sorry for calling you Devil Fish, watching too much poker lately. LOL!

Let me know if you can look at some more minidumps for me.

Thanks.
