A colleague at work is having problems with his PC at home, every so often
the PC is restarting for no reason, however he managed to get a photo of a
Blue Screen of Death thats been appearing when it shutsdown.
Have stuck a picture of screen here http://www.elgey.co.uk/pdf/DSC00864.JPG

Main messageS of interest are :

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

STOP: 0X00000001 (0X00000008, 0X00000002. 0X00000000, 0XF838CC00)

NDIS.sys - F838CC00 base at F838CC00, Datestamp 41107ec3

Done a google on it and seem to get messges relating to either a Network
card conflict or virtual memory problems, thing is it does'nt have a network
card in the proper sense of the word, it has a USB BT Voyager ADSL modem,
which shows in Network proerptys as a network card.

Dont suppose anyone has any idea's ?

Would be grateful of any assistance

Tell your colleague to first open Control Panel - System - Advanced
and click on the Settings button in the Startup and Recovery (bottom)
section. In the Startup and Recovery window click on the checkbox for
"Automatically restart" then click on Apply and OK as needed to exit.
That will put an end to the rebooting.

For assistance with the error see MVP Jim Eshelman's web page for STOP
errors at http://www.aumha.org/win5/kbestop.htm and click on the "D1:
Driver IRQL..." link in the right-side column.

It may be possible to track this error further with the PSTOP utility
and identifying the specific driver that is using address 0XF838CC00
(parameter 4 from the error message).

Good luck
