BSOD and resets XP Pro

Whilst playing a number of games either on line or
offline (including LAN sessions with 8 clients and
seperate server) I am getting crashes and BSOD from an
error I cannot pin down..the event viwer shows this at
the last crash

"The redirector was unable to register the domain MSHOME
on to transport NetBT_Tcpip_{098444AF-A3FB-490B-ACAF-92
for the following reason: . Transport has been taken
offline."

and

The Network Address Translator (NAT) was unable to
request an operation of the kernel-mode translation
module. This may indicate misconfiguration, insufficient
resources, or an internal error. The data is the error
code.


Please help...

Is there anyway to view the BSOD screen before my machine
resets..it only flashes on screen for a second or so and
i cant read it.

You need to uncheck the auto restart after BSOD. Do this by right clicking
"my computer" in Windows Explorer or via the desktop or open "system" in
control panel. Any will open the system properties window. Click the
advanced tab, at the bottom you will see startup and recovery, click
"settings" and remove the tick from "automatically restart" in the system
failure panel.

Sounds like you may have a NIC issue... First thought, have you checked in
the NIC card properties to see if there is an option set allowing the system
to turn off the NIC to save energy (or some such). If so uncheck the box.

If not the case, then take the looooong number and in the Run box type
"regedit" w/o quotes and do a search for that string. If it is your NIC
that it finds then there is a problem with the driver, the slot it's
installed in (IRQ?) or the NIC is bad or going bad.

Uninstall any associated software for the NIC then uninstall the NIC from
device manager. After this shutdown the computer and if possible put the
NIC in a different slot (just to clear a possible conflict issue) then
re-install the SW/Driver.

If this doesn't do it then you may want to try a different NIC if one is
available. Make sure you completely uninstall SW/Driver from OS before
removing/replacing the NIC!

Of course, it may be something completely different then stated above!
However, it is my best guess - try the suggestions if you want.
