Browsing LAN sooo slow !

Hi,

when I click on network neighbouhood explorer only opens after 5-6 seconds,
teh system being at that time also slowly responsive.

What should I look at ? There has been a time where it was faster. No idea
what could have changed since.

Have you made any changes to any computer on the network recently?

Look at "browstat status", "ipconfig /all", "net config server", and "net
config workstation", from the problem computer, and from one other, and diagnose
the problem. Read this article, and linked articles, and follow instructions
precisely (download browstat!):

Found : my son had reinstalled windows on his PC and not restored shares.
Now that he has restore the one we share browsing is fast again.
