Browsing between subnets w/o PDC

I have a small problem I hope somebody knows how to fix. I
have two subnets, with Win2k machines on each. We don't
have a Windows Domain Controller. I need to be able to
browse to workstations in the other subnet. I can access
them, no sweat, but they do not show up in My Network
Places. What's the answer here?

Thanks!

Mark

Without a domain you will not be able to browse across subnets. Workgroups
are not WAN aware.

depending on the number of clients on his subnets, he can use LMHOSTS files.
This sucks, but it can be done.

He can have a WINS server, and still not have a domain. That would give him
the ability to do lookups for his machines, as long as they all register
into the same wins server.

Sure he can use Wins or LMHOSTS to access resources by name, but he will not
be able to browse to resources without a domain. As he stated in his post,
he can access the machines, but he can't browse to them via My Network
Places. This is a limitation of workgroups - browsing across subnets does
not work.
