when I start my Internet Explorer browser and then try and
shut it down by either using the "x" in the upper right
hand or the "file---> exit" all I get is one of those
warning sounds that I have done something wrong or that I
can't do that. Please if anyone has had this problem and
knows how to fix it let me know. The only way I can shut
down Internet Explorer is to ctrl-alt-del and end it that
way. Please if anyone has any info I would greatly
appreciate it. Feel free to email me at the address
listed. Thanks

DC,

Open Registry Editor and navigate to:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions]

Delete the NoBrowserClose value in the right-pane. Also do the same here, if the key exists:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions]

To remove all or most of the browser restrictions, download fix from:
http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k ["Remove IE Restrictions & Restore Missing tabs"]
