Browser still closes for no reason

Tried Frank's suggestions of cleaning out spyware etc. via
AdAware and Spybot and I'm still having the same trouble
with my IE browser closing unexpectedly on certain
websites. Ironically, I went to Frank's website --
http://www.fjsmjs.com
and sure enough, this is one of the sites that causes my
IE browser to close unexpectedly (if that helps any...).
I'd appreciate any help.
 
Hi Melissa,
Here's something that worked for me:
click Tools/Internet Options/Settings/View Objects
Anything in this folder that doesn't say "Installed",
remove it. If there's a corrupt plugin, it could cause IE
to shut down...

JR, you are a GENIUS!! This was exactly my problem. I
had a damaged JRE plugin, which I deleted, reinstalled,
and now I'm working perfectly. Thank you!!
 
I have the same problem, but I don't have a settings tab
under tools. Using IE 6.0
