Do I need the browser service in Native mode win2k domain controllers ?

This service is required on your DCs. Client machines use its output to
generate the network neighborhood/my network places listings.

But what if you publish all your shares and printers in AD and don't need to
browse.
Ie just look/search in the directory for your resources.
