browser open takes forever

I had to remove some spyware that got onto my machine recently and
ever since, IE takes like 15 to 20 seconds to open every time I open a
new browser. Is there any way I can find what it's doing? I imagine
its trying to load some things that aren't htere any more? If so,
where can I find the load list so I can try and remove things that
dno't belong?

We cannot be sure that you have actually removed the spyware in question -
we have no names, and no information about what products were used to remove
said spyware.

sorry, I think I need to be more specific. What REGISTRY keys or ini
files or such can I look at to see all the third party tools that IE
is loading? I'm not looking for anything automated here. I just want
to see them.
