Browser not Java enabled

I have a brand new computer with IE6 and XP
Professional. Java does not appear on the IE internet
options>>advanced tab.

When I try to get to one site, I get the message "program
requires a java enabled browser".

I cannot enable Java because it does no appear on the
advanced tab. Do I need to download something???

You'll have to install Java.
