Browser keeps crashing

when on the internet, for no apparent reason my screen
just reverts back to my desktop but i don't actually lose
the internet connection, i sometimes get an error message,

Appname iexplore.exe modname:shell32.dll
Modver6.0 2800.1233
Appver6.0.2800.1106 offset.001061.ad

any help to resolve would be appreciated.
