Browser History

I am concerned about one of our office computers being
used to visit objectionable sites. The history folder has
been erased. I have been told that IE saves lists of sites
visited with time and date stamps. Where is that
information saved? Is there more than one place? Am I
able to access that?

Carson,
You could disable the History (delete) button in IE
with a Registry entry .......

History - Disable changes to History settings
http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/537/

Settings - prevents any changes to Temporary Internet Files
http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/797/

Thanks for the information. I will take those steps. Can
you tell me if I can find out where the browser has been?
Where does I save the site information?

Carson,
Firewall logs can tell you ........
The info is also saved in the various "index.dat" files, however
if they are deleted, that info is gone.
