Browser encountered problem and wants to close

Recently I've been getting a message while on the
Internet that reads - "Internet explorer encountered a
problem and needs to close" then I have to select
to "send an error report" or "don't send" to microsoft.

This is happening frequently. Why and how can I correct
this?
