Browser download of WordPerfect Documents?

I have Adobe, WORD and WordPerfect versions of a couple of forms for
prospective clients to download from a simple web site. I've uploaded the
files for all of them and set up hyperlinks pointing to them (using the same
technique for all). The files have standard extensions - - i.e. .pdf, .doc
and .wpd respectively.

The Adobe and MS Word files load with a browser just fine - - but the
WordPerfect links get nothing but a "Page cannot be found" error (HTTP Error
404).

Shouldn't this work - - if the browsing machine has WordPerfect installed???

If so, what am I doing wrong?

The files are ALL in the same folder - - and I can "follow" the WordPerfect
links when working with the site in Design Mode.

Please and thank you.

I believe you'll have to contact your host and have them add .wpd as a mime
type.

It works in Design Mode on your machine because your machine knows how to
handle .wpd extensions.

You need to contact WordPerfect on how to associate it with a browser, if at all possible.
