browser disconect

Soon after I start my computer the broadband connection
becomes disconected and I have to reboot to get it back.
It stays for a while and then disconects again with the
message that the server cannot be found or that a dns
error has occured. why does this disconnect happen and
how can I fix it. I have turned off all power management
options and have set my secureity at different levels and
the problem continues.
