Remote access to users files is becoming more and more important,....

Does Windows 2000 offer any sort of remote access to files on the computer
other than terminal services and ftp.

A web browser based system to access the file server is ideal.

Any ideas or alternatives would be appreciated.

If your user files are on the server, install a RemotelyAnywhere server license,
www.jsiinc.com/catalog/remotelyanywhere.htm#catalog

Every user that you authorize will be able to access their files by simply using
their Web browser (over the internet). Users will not need any additional
software or licensing.

If the user files are on their own workstations, install RemotelyAnywhere
Enterprise on each desktop that needs to be accessed remotely.
