browse workgroup service?

hey.. i downloaded a services tweak.. it made my boot and computer use less
resources.. but one of the service it disabled was needed to browse the
workgroup feature. i can still file share and ping and all that stuff. but i
cant browse workgroup..

Try running the Computer Browser service:

1. Right click My Computer, and click Manage.
2. Double click Services and Applications.
3. Double click Services.
4. Double click Computer Browser. If the Service status is Stopped,
click Start.
5. Set the Startup type to Automatic.

nope it still gives an error.. i have 3 comps networked.. only 1 can browse
workgroups.. thats the one without the services tweaks.. any other ideas? I
mean i can prolly just set all to auto and do process of elimination but
thats too much. thx again

What exactly does the error message say?

Without knowing what the services tweak did, it's hard to say how to
fix the problem. Are there any relevant messages in Event Viewer? To
run it, click Start | Control Panel | Performance and Maintenance |
Administrative Tools | Event Viewer. For more information, see:
