'Browse For Folder' dialog bix is blank

Hello,

I am hoping someone can help me with a Windows XP Home issue I am having.
One some selected programs, (at random apparently, or perhaps the language
they are coded in) I receive a blank 'Browse for Folder' dialog box just
like the one attached in the image. I cannot browse, click or do anything
with this box, rendering the program almost useless as some programs rely
solely on this box to choose and select folders from.

Has anyone ever seen anything like this? Does anyone know a solution, other
than to reimage my system?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have searched and searched Google
for answers and come up with nothing. It seems a real puzzle, this one.

Ramesh,

Thank you very much. This seems to have fixed the problem, even though I did
recieve an error: DllInstall in shdocvw.dll failed Return Code was: 0x80070005

But despite that it's fixed and that's all that matters right ;)

Thanks again, much appreciated.

You're welcome.

The "0x80070005" means access denied. Do you have SpySweeper installed or
amother spyware scanner? How about an AntiVirus Product? These products
/may/ be causing the access denied message. I would suggest that you
disconnect from the internet and disable these security programs and re-run:

regsvr32 /i shdocvw.dll
