Browse at Kiosk

I have PCs located around the office that simply show presentations for
employee information. The presentations are all the same and the "Browse at
Kiosk" feature is turned on. This is with Office 2003.

The problem is, for no apparent reason, the presentations will just stop and
go back to edit mode. My understanding is that "Browse at Kiosk" should allow
the presentation to just keep looping until someone hits the Esc key.

Any clues?

While browse at kiosk mode will prevent keypresses (except Esc) and
mouseclicks (except on buttons and hyperlinks), and automatic presenation
that is not set to loop could come to an end and exit directly to Edit
mode. Are there automatic transitions on slides? If so, is the setting
Loop continuously until Esc checked?

There are no buttons or links on these presentations. Loop continuously
until Esc is checked.

The only thing we can think of, is it updates that are coming in and
installing which are doing this. Such as MS Automatic updates or Acrobat
updates?
