Brother MFC 5100C

I have a new Inspiron 5150 with Windows XP already
installed. I bought a new USB Printer ADapter by Belkin
and it cost over $40.00. I am still unable to connect my
Brother MFC 5100C tothis laptop. This printer is only
about two years old. It keeps saying "Setup requires a
different version of of windows. Is this possible? What
can I do? Thx (e-mail address removed)

What are you doing when the message appears? Installing software for the USB
printer adapter or for the printer?
