Broken client

I have a 4 pc p-to-p LAN via router.
All was well for a long time.
Now, one of the PCs can not communicate on the LAN.
I ran ipconfig and Net Dia. and all is ok except one item.
The "Host Name" is incomplete.
It should be "pcname.earthlink.net, but .earthlink.net is missing.
Is this something I can fix?

What i would do if they are all in the same domain is
unjoin the domain on the troublesome pc and set it to
workgroup.
Then rejoin the domiain this can be done using the same PC
name as before.
This should reset the problem
