looks interesting. You can use this text editor to interchange between
US and French keyboards and have the keyboard layout displayed on the
bottom of your editor. It allows other keyboard layouts too.

I sent the link to my some of my native French speaking relatives who
now live in the US and use English most but not always.

but doesnt include the obvious one, dvorak.
