Broadjump client foundation

Does anyone know what "Broadjump client foundation" is? It is in control
panel > add and remove programs, but I can't find it in Win Explorer search.
It's a 10 mb file I sure would like to get rid of it. I don't want to
uninstall it until I find out if it is safe to do so.
Thanks for any help you can give.

It got installed along with your broadband ISP's software. I don't
believe you need it. Here's a link to a discussion about it on one of
the DSL Reports forums:

I have it also, on both of my machines, it was installed when I
"activated" my machines with Comcast.

here's a copy and paste:

5. BROADJUMP CLIENT FOUNDATION: During your use or installation of the
overall Licensed Software, the BroadJump Client Foundation ("CFD.exe") may
be installed on your computer. The BroadJump Client Foundation is a small
application that facilitates communications between the client software on
your computer and your IAP's servers that manage these applications. The
BroadJump Client Foundation periodically queries BroadJump or your IAP's
servers for one or more of the following reasons (a) to upload the
subscriber registration information that is collected at installation, or
(b) to check for available updates to your broadband access and support
software or messages from your IAP, or (c) for authentication to your IAP's
servers for certain application communications.

Uninstall it, if you can't connect to your IP, reinstall it.

Hi,
If I uninstall it and if needed, how would I reinstall it? Where would I
get the file from? I can't even find it in WE. Where is the file located?

If you have Comcast, you definitely don't need it. I have Comcast and
since several of my computers run Linux, I'm certainly not running
Broadjump Client on them!
