Broadband - script error?

Have now been running BT Broadband for a few days. Several times I've
had the '?' BT Broadband Help system tray icon flashing. On d-clicking
it I get messages like this:
-------
An error has occurred in the script on this page.
Line: 25
Char: 5
Error: Permission denied
Code: 0
URL: http://127.0.0.1:3009/swizzle/cmd/ui/takeMeThere?
incidentId=2088983112.8@Terry&vendorId=btbb
Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?
-------

What is this all about please? Is there some security exposure here?

FWIW, I do have XP's ICF firewall enabled, while I consider
alternatives or supplements.

If it helps to explain this issue, when I hover the mouse pointer over
the BT Broadband '?' tray icon, this appears:
'Motive Chorus Alert D-Click to respond'

On doing so, that's when I get the script error. The options are
Continue with scripting on this page: Yes or No. On clicking Yes I
then get 'Please Wait' indefinitely until I close with the 'X' icon. I
can then d-click the '?' icon again and I get the connection check and
standard Help window.

Terry,
Most of the time this is just errors on the web site ..... not your end.
However some ad-blocking apps will cause this (script error) when the ad or
banner fails to display.

Internet Options | Advanced
Select: "Disable script debugging"
Uncheck: "Display a notification about every script error", click Apply\Ok

Verify these Registry entries exist and are correct:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]
"Disable Script Debugger"="yes"
"Error Dlg Details Pane Open"="yes"
"Error Dlg Displayed On Every Error"="no"
"NoJITSetup"=dword:00000000
"NoWebJITSetup"=dword:00000001

Note: always Export before editing .....
[or]
Download the latest version of Windows Script 5.6 for XP\2K
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...43-7e4b-4622-86eb-95a22b832caa&DisplayLang=en

Try installing that and see if it helps with your problem.

Thanks a lot, Mike. I'll follow up those recommendations asap.

BTW, I just noticed that the BT Broadband Help window (when correctly
displayed by d-clicking tne tray icon) has 'm Motive Smart' at its
bottom right corner.

Terry,
"has 'm Motive Smart' at its bottom right corner"
"Motive Smart Virtual Assistant" supplied by your ISP
