Briefcase sync

Hi everyone, I'm trying to set up a copy of my Documents folder from a PC to
a laptop using a network connection.

I've setup a briefcase on the laptop and copied all the folders from PC's
Documents folder: everything worked fine but I discovered that not all the
files are copied correctly.
For example, I saw that two folders are marker as updated but both are empy
while the souce folder contains files: if I try to force a syncronization, a
messagebox told me that there is nothing to sync because folders are already
up to date.
I've tried to delete the folders and recreate the sync copy in the briefcase
with no success: I can see the folder in the briefcase, it is marked as
updated but there are no files in it.

Do you have any idea about this problem?

Thanks in advance

Luca

My suggestion is to simply do that same network transfer
by creating a new folder on the desktop of the laptop,
then copy the files directly from PC to laptop, then move
them to your brief case.

It actually works this way, but this is more a workaround: of course I
cannot use continuously this method otherwise I will lost the usefulness of
the Briefcase.
Any other idea?

I wouldn't use briefcase either - nor offline files. See www.centered.com
for a nice inexpensive utility that I think works better than either.
