Break connections

I want to make sure open files are closed before doing a backup of our CRM
database. The problem is that people walk away from their desk at the end of
the day and leave the software running.

How do I break a net connection with windows 2000 server to do a backup and
then restore it?

On the server you can go into system management (right click my
computer/manage) then under the "shared folders" on the "sessions" icon, you
can right click and "disconnect all sessions".

Can I perform this through scheduler at midnight?
