Bottom Feeders Continue to Censor Because MSFT Pretends there is no Criticism

C

Chad Harris

The bottom feeders who run Community continue to censor selectively if
anyone dares to give constructive criticism to MSFT.

"Vista rocks" "Vista leverages everything" "Vista and Office leverage the
world" is an empty headed mantra that means nothing. Far better to test
features and see if they work MSFT.

I suppose MSFT sees the same public the Bush administration
perceives--thinks that they're stupid, indifferent, and you can sell
anything to them.

MSFT has the same approach to stamping out any constructive feedback on
(censorship) as their friends in China who go after the families of people
who surf where the same guy who ate dinner at the Gates' doesn't want them
surfing or the Chinese approach to criticism of the government. One can
easily understand how MSFT turned over MSN searches to the Chinese
government indifferent to the consequences for Chinese citizens when it
does.

That would explain the metric buttload of complaints about things like UAC
in the vista security newsgroups, right?

Oh no wait, it wouldn't.

Thanks for the censorship idea. I just added you to my Block list. Now I can
censor you to.

Spend the time you censor me brushing up on remedial English--it's too and
you do whatever you need to.

I haven't seen you help a single problem in years looking at the newsgroups,
but I'm sure someday you'll have a first time.

Grammar police. Loser.

No not quite. Actually if you search my name and search gclark you'll see
the one who hasn't provided any help to anyone who is probably on the loser
end of the spectrum in Windows Vista use is one gclark.

Are you talking about censoring in this newsgroup?

Chad, I don't think this newsgroup is censored- just take a look
at some of my rants. I have noticed that certain curse words
will keep your post from posting. However, I have "gone off"
on a few things here, and have yet to see any censorship.
I have ran my mouth about UAC protection, Genuine Advantage,
and WMP 11 and the DRM crap. My long winded, oft obnoxious
posts, all go through. There was even a post someone made about
circumventing .wma files' DRM protection. I think you are imagining
things.

I don't think so Michael. A lot of posts just don't show up that get sent
and appear in my sent folder. When I try again, no dice. They're being
screened. MSFT likes to practice the censorship and totalitarian ways of
their new Chinese best friends and had no compunctions in turning over MSN
searches not only to the US government despite their false statement
denials, but to the Chinese with direct violent consequences to the
searchers. Plenty has been documented on this, and US Journalists are being
held now under false pretenses. Saving those lives has not been a priority
of the Gates foundation. Maybe if those imprisoned had had HIV,Bill and
Melinda would be more concerned.

Without curse words some posts just won't get up and some will. Nothing has
changed as to my configuration. I enjoy your posts. I think people ought
to be able to analyze this thing while it's in Beta. I'm not convinced they
listen all that much to feedback within the Betas anyway when it comes to
Office and Vista but they spend an awful lot of time postuinring that they
do.

I know they didn't listen when we asked them to make Device Manager reliable
for whether a driver was trashed since August 25, 1995 when it RTM'd and
when I had that discussion directly with the Vista Driver team PMs
responsible for it they doidn't seem a bit concerned that they tell people
drivers are fine when they're not and have been for years.

To me that is one of the main purposes of Device Manager, and it has *NEVER
worked.

Win RE is supposed to be the way to fix a trashed Vista and Startup Repair
is Russian Roulette or more accurately, Redmond Roulette and a repair
install in XP is not, and Desmond Lee (PM Win RE) and his team have had
seven years to make something more powerful than a Repair Install in XP for
Vista and instead they made something weaker and more defective.

As to WGA, here's an interesting post from Ed Bott's ZD Net Blog (Ed writes

To be honest, if you spout off about random nonsense that has nothing to do
with the newsgroup you're posting to, such as the political state in China,
then you're just as likely to be tripping a spam filter as you are to be
actively "censored", and frankly the more you rant on stuff that matters the
less I personally care. There's a thin line between making your point in an
expansive, entertaining fashion to ensure you get read, and being a kook.

I'm not overly convinced that all the departments are listening, any more
than I'm convinced that none are. Some are - there isn't some vast
conspiracy of 'they' at Microsoft, there are individuals in departments, and
some departments and some people are great and some are not so great. Gosh,
almost like they're only human or something. I've had some replies to bugs
that just defy belief in both good ways and in bad ways.
