Borland Install Shield Wizzard

Steffen Poppe

Hi,

we have a customer, who wants to install his software on a traget
device. He created a "setup.exe" with the borland installshield wizzard,
wich automaticly installs the Borland Database Engine, so he told us.

This all works fine on a normal windows XP professional. But everytime
in the XPe-Environment, the installshield wizzard is closing down,
without prompting an error and does nothing.

Just like the Citrix-ICA Client. That's exactly the same problem, I
think. At least the behavior is the same...

Anybody an idea, how to solve it?

Thank you,
Steffen

.
Installshield tends to have 16-bit modules which will not
run without the "DOS Windows on Windows Support"
component...

If it's a Wizzard,[1] it's probably running away.[2] Does
it shout 'stercus, stercus, stercus, moritus sum?' as it
goes? [3]

[1] Rincewind, the Discworld Wizard, spelt it this way.
[2] He's not a good Wizard. He's good at Not Getting
Killed.
[3] He's not about to rely on that, however.

Maybe. But my problem was not to solve a stupid adventure game! I don't
have the time for such things! And this is an international newsgroup,
so you may have to live with faults in spelling/writing!

Go, buy a real name!
