borders/macros

If possible, how can I customize the borders box within
the formatting toolbar to include more selection of
variuos borders and styles. If not, any ideas would be
appreciated. Thanks!

Create your own custom toolbar with a bunch of these border icons on it.

Tools|customize|Toolbar tab
(new... and give it a nice name)

Then commands tab
Format category
Scroll through the right hand box looking for border icons you like.
drag them to the new toolbar.

In fact, there's an icon with a little dropdown arrow on it. Click on that
dropdown arrow to show all the borders available. Click on the grey border near
the top and rip off this toolbar and you can even let that toolbar float near
your work.

I don't normally advocate rip offs, but this one's pretty useful if
you're doing lots of formatting.

I think it was an old Abby Hoffman book: Steal this toolbar.
