Border around slides

Lisa

I am working in PowerPoint and when I print my slides,
they have a blank border all the way around the edges
approx. 1 inch. I want the background I chose to run edge-
to-edge. How do I get it to print that way? From the
view that I can see, the slide looks edge-to-edge. Please
help me!!!

Couple of things ...

1) Does your printer allow complete coverage from edge to edge? If you paid
under 1000 USD for your printer, it probably does not. Most inkjet and
laser printers have a non-printable border on all four sides that allows the
printer mechanism to grip the paper as it passes through. This is a printer
limitation not a PowerPoint one.

2) An easy solution is to print the pages as they are and trim the pages
with scissors. If you need the 8.5x11 size, then consider printing on
oversized paper and trimming down to the required size. You may also be
able to find a professional print shop that can output pages with edge to
edge printing.

Try this FAQ, it may answer your need better than I.
