Bootup

George

At system bootup I receive the message:Message popup at
every startup with title Windows File Protection
saying "Files that are required for Windows to run
properly have been replaced by unrecognized versions. To
maintain system stability, windows must restore the
original versions of these files. please insert your
Windows XP installation CD now."

What files do I need to restore, and can I just copy and
paste from the CD to the Windows folder?

Thanks.

You're worrying too much. Windows is telling you to insert the CD. It will
take care of the rest, if it can.

No, don't try to replace parts of the program, because 1) they won't be
fully installed and 2) you have no way of knowing exactly what's missing.
