Boots to Set Up; not VISTA OS

Vista Home Premimum 32 bit system
Vista ran fine for 3 days.
I installed ScanSoft software, which didnt work with VISTA, so I uninstalled
the scansoft-ware.
Now, when I boot the system, I get error:
"Windows could not start installation process, please wait." (forever)
Click OK just reboots to same message.
If I go into Bios, esc, and then access Boot Manager....
I have 2 options:
Windows Set Up
MS Windows Vista
(F8 - Start normally, and Start with last good set-up) do not fix problem.
If I select Vista, it loads Vista and all my software works fine.
If I reboot, it reverts back to "Windows could not start install...)
Question:
How do I set the Boot Manager Default to Windows Vista, and not Windows
Set-up.
Thanks in advance for your help

Set your bios to boot from the CD/DVD drive, insert the Vista DVD disk in
Drive; reboot.
Do a startup repair from your disk.
