Booting XPE from USB Thumbdrive

Hi,

I am new to XPE and I am trying to boot XPE from USB Thumbdrive. I am
getting the STOP:0x7B error. I browsed through this forum and found lot
of information on this. But I am still not clear on how to proceed. Can
someone help me in providing a clear procedure for the same? I saw
posts on how to boot XP from USB thumb drive. But how can i map the
same to XPE?

Thanks,
AGR

Currently, there are only two choices for XPe USB flash boot

1. Try Dietmar's soltuion that works with almost any USB flash disk:
http://www.winusb.de/index_en.html
2. Use M-Systems uDOC www.m-sys.com

This is great that we are seeing more interest in USB boot. Hopefully in the
future Microsoft will add USB boot support to the OS.

Hello,

Would anyone who has tried using the first solution like to share their
experience with it? The website linked too looks a tad sketchy, no offense to
the poster. The tutorial is also actually a .exe that wishes to be run, and
naturally I am paranoid of running arbitrary code.

Thanks,
Tim
