Booting Vista

I downloaded windows vista beta 2 32bit edition and burned the iso file onto
a dvd disk. But when i boot the dvd rom, windows vista will not load and
instead it loads windows xp. I already disabled booting from a hard drive but
came up with the same results.

By 'disabling' booting from the hard drive I assmue you mean you changed the
boot order. It does not sound like you got a bootable dvd when you made the
burn. Try burning at a slow speed.

Did you burn the iso image directly to the disk? I mean did you drag and drop
the iso file in your DVD burning program or did you use the file to burn the
image to the disk?

Could it be possible that you burned an "Image File" as an "ISO File". They
burn very different, burned wrong they will not load or Boot for Install.
