booting up my pc

hi there... not sure if im in the right place to come or not... also im a bit
of a numpty when it comes to techy pc stuff! ;o/

when i boot up my pc it doesnt boot up normally - it gets to a point and
then stops before prompting me to "press f1 to resume"...

i think when its going through the initial start up wotsit it says something
along the lines of unable to boot from... which i asume is the hard drive???

of some one can help or point me in the right direction of how to fix it i
can give some more specific details...

You need to post the exact text you see on the screen, not just
the "Press F1" prompt. Remember - we can't see your screen!
