Booting to SATA drive

I have a asus a8v deluxe motherboard. I have a maxtor 60gig sata hard drive.
The bios is enabled to boot. I am running xp sp2. When the computer boots up
it hangs on the two tone blue screen that says starting windows xp. the
wireless mouse works. Can anyone help with this problem. Thanks

I am able to solve certainty the problem

The reason was because of appear bad a hard drive.

the drive so as we know as well....

Did it ever boot??
Did you install the SATA drivers during the XP install?
Have you configured the right drive to boot in the BIOS??
Do you have the SATA drive connected to the right SATA connector??...should be
SATA 1 the bottom one
you have 4 SATA connectors....the top set of 2 are regular and the bottom set of
2 are RAID.....which one are you plugged into??
Did you look on page 2-24 and 2-25 of your easy to understand manual ??

Could be one of many things. Can you get into safe mode and check the event
viewer? Scan your memory with memtest86. scan the HDD with a utility from
HDD maker. All these can boot with floppy. Did you change any thing on the
system right before it happened?
