Booting problem

Ok, first of all, I had to get rid of a Trojan virus by restarting Windows Xp
in Safe mode. When I was done, I unchecked the SAFEBOOT box in the msconfig
dialog box, and every time I boot, I have 1 second to choose between Last
Known Good Configuration and Windows XP Normal Mode. How do I get rid of this
annoying booting screen.

BTW I turned System Restore off to get rid of this virus. So I have no
earlier restore points.

Make sure that you have done both of these:

Start | Run | Type: msconfig | Click OK |
UNSelect: /SAFEBOOT under the boot.ini tab | Click Apply |
Under the General tab Select: Normal Startup - load all device drivers and
services | Click Apply and Close

If that didn't help.

Right click My Computer | Properties | Advanced tab |
Click the Settings button under Startup and Recovery |
Time to display list of operating systems | Set it to 0 |
Time to display recovery options when needed |
Set it to 0 | OK your way out

Time to display list of operating systems
[[Specifies how much time will elapse at startup before the default
operating system starts automatically. Type the number of seconds in the
list, or click the arrows to select the time.]]
