Hi,

I am trying to use my old hard drive, in an external
casing using usb, which was password protected. Now I am
unable to boot from the external drive, so that i can put
my password, and i am unable to access my files. Please
help, how can i access the files, or how can i boot from
the external usb hard drive.

Most computers don't support booting from external USB hard drives. If they
do support it, you've have to set it in the bios to boot from the USB.

Have you tried putting the drive IN the computer?

If this drive came from another computer, it's probably not going to boot
properly, in any case, until you do a repair install, as the hardware is
different.
