booting from cd

this sounds like such a simple task but im not an XP user.
How do you set the computer to boot from the cd rom drive.
What keys or setup options?
 
Hey Dan,

This can't be done in Windows, this is usually done in BIOS. Here are the
steps below:

1. When restarting, pres the DEL key!

2. The Bios would appear. Navigate through the BIOS. Most probably it would
be something like Advanced xxxxx. Click Advanced xxxx

3. When there go down and you'll find First boot deviced, change that to
CD-Rom

Now when ever your computer restarts your CD ROM would be booted

thanks alot. I thought it was something like that. Trying
to tell my mate to do it over the phone wasn't easy.
