Is is possible to create a bootable thumbdrive and boot from it ?

How to create ?
How to ask the PC to boot from it ?

If by thumbdrive you are referring to is a USB flash drive, your bios needs
to support booting from it, the bios sequence needs to be set to boot from
said drive, you need to mark an existing partition as active and also
transfer a boot system to it.

Consider a Win9x format /s c: or a transfer with the an older sys dos
command.
